The London Comedy Writers Festival: TVO Ticket Offer!

© Bruno Vincent, Colin Hoult/Dawn Sedgewick Management, Jacqueline Wright, Mrs Popper, London Comedy Writers Festival

Last week we told you about the forthcoming London Comedy Writers Festival 2011 – which will play host to a bevy of immense talents including several TVO favourites.

The Festival takes place between April 8th & 10th at Regents College – and will gather some of the biggest names in British comedy under one roof, providing a perfect opportunity for budding writers to learn from the best, make some friends and meet some business contacts who will come in very useful in your chosen profession.

TVO favourites at the event include Jackal Films duo Alice Lowe & Jacqueline Wright, as well as character-comic sensation Colin Hoult.

Regular Julia Davis collaborator and Spaced co-creator Jessica Hynes, and the creator of Friday Night Dinner and Look Around You {and Jackal guest-star!}, Robert Popper will also be on hand to offer unique insights into their seminal works.

Also joining the star studded line-up are the likes of  Griff Rhys Jones, Stephen Mangan, Rhona Cameron, Paul Jackson, Jon Plowman and the creators of Red Dwarf, Rob Grant & Doug Naylor.

Natalie Bailey, the producer of Time Trumpet and more recently, Dick And Dom’s Funny Business, which features TVO favourites such as Oram & Meeten – will also be on hand, as will numerous other movers and shakers in the world of comedy today.  These also include Horrible Histories writer Dave Cohen, and Andrew Ellard: the script editor of season four of The IT Crowd, who has been selected as one of the new writers on the forthcoming fifth season later this year.

If all this is enough to whet your appetite for comedic knowledge… you’re going to want cheap tickets aren’t you!

The organizers of this incredible event have very kindly offered us a special ticket offer for any of our readers who fancy going along.

Tickets for the entire weekend usually cost £149, but TVO is able to offer you a £25 discount, AND the LCWF team will very kindly donate £5 to Comic Relief for every ticket we sell!
