We’ve just learned that indie rockers Sweet Billy Pilgrim have a secret weapon on hand to celebrate Record Store Day in the UK tomorrow – Jen Barber from The IT Crowd.

The band are appearing in the forth series of the show, filming at present, and have recorded a track with actress Katherine Parkinson in character, as the b-side to their limited edition 7″ released tomorrow in independent record stores across the UK.

The release joins new material from the likes of Blur, Pet Shop Boys and The Rolling Stones, plus a reissued Beatles classic – and will no doubt prove to be popular with fans of the band and the show.  It’s also a nice little taster for the fourth series weeks ahead of transmission.
