Day 12 – The Mighty Boosh And Julian The Donkey

Today we feel like reminiscing and therefore, we are going back to 2008 and a very special Christmas photo shoot.

Who can forget the time NME decided to have The Mighty Boosh on their cover but this time in true Christmas spirit. We don’t know who decided that it would be a good idea to have Noel Fielding as Virigin Mary, Julian Barratt as Baby Jesus and Mike Fielding, Dave Brown and Rich Fulcher as the three wise men…  But it was a stroke of genius – that is clear.

So come with us and take another look behind the scenes of the Mighty Boosh Christmas photo shoot… and laugh at the donkey called Julian.

Wow that was a blast from the past! It seems like ages ago and I remember exactly where I was when I read this article – in an opticians in Swinton, Manchester having my eyes tested! Strange how random stuff sticks in your head. It’s quite amazing the journey the MB have been on through the years – humble beginnings in the top of a pub in Islington to sell out tours and performing at the O2! Although they have evolved and gone in different creative directions it still feels like such a strong bond is there and they could reform and do something again at some point in the future! I think Noel liked being the woman (secretly!) LOL
