Julian Barratt is to create a one-off listening experience for BBC 6 Music.

Barratt is set to fill in on Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service early next month for one week only –  in what promises to be an eclectic hint at the corners of Julian’s record colllection.

Promising a range from Scott Walker to The Silver Apples, Julian Barratt’s Sunday Service will air on 6 Music between 4pm and 6pm on August 7th.

TVO will provide iPlayer links as soon as possible.

Editors note: Thanks to theclappers4 for the heads-up!

My mum used to listen to Scott Walker in his heyday. He was quite a dish and his music was quite stirring and unusual. I remember soaring lyrics and big band theatricals. I was only a young child and it did leave an impression on me!

Very excited for this! Here’s hoping the link will be playable in the US!
