Xmas Boosh On The Box

23 Dec

For those of you pining for a seasonal dose of Booshniverse, here’s a rundown of the TV that’s worth setting your Sky+ for…

First off there are the repeats of Little Crackers currently airing on Sky.  Julian Barratt’s episode airs on Sky2 at 01:45 on 26th December and 03:50 on 28th December; Julia Davis’ episode next airs on Sky2 at 03:20 on 26th; Chris O’Dowd’s airs on Sky2 at 01:15 on 26th December and 03:20 on 28th December; and finally  Bill Bailey’s episode (featuring the voice of Rich Fulcher) is repeated on Sky2 at 02:45 on 26th December and 18:15 on 27th.  Phew!

After that you can see Rich Fulcher in Unwrapped With Miranda Hart at 23:00 on BBC2 on 28th December.  The comedienne hosts a satirical look at the past 12 months, with contributions from guest stars, one of whom is Rich.

Next we’ve got the final 3 episodes of Never Mind The Buzzcocks with Noel Fielding as team captain alongside Phill Jupitus.   Episode 11 airs on 30th December with Robert Webb hosting and guests Chris Packham, Example, Cee-Lo Green and Andi Osho.  Episode 12, the final proper show of the current series, airs on 6th January, with Frankie Boyle as host and Pro Green, Goldie, Miles Jupp and Michelle Williams as guests.   Let’s hope that Frankie Boyle’s barbed presence will inject some energy into the series finale!  And then on the 13th January there will be a series compilation in case you forget what happened in 2010 through festive over-indulgence.

The brand new show from Mighty Boosh director Paul King will have its first airing on Christmas day. Come Fly With Me, the new comedy vehicle for Little Britain stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams, gets the Christmas hot spot on BBC1 at 22:00 on 25th December.

Father Ted fans can enjoy a special airing of selected episodes of the classic 1990s comedy series penned by IT Crowd’s Graham Linehan on Channel 4 on New Year’s Day.  And then finally we have Noel Fielding and Richard Ayoade as panelists on Channel 4′s Big Fat Quiz of The Year, airing on 3rd January at 21:30.

So, if any further excuse were needed not to venture too far from the sofa for the next couple of weeks, there you have it: your Cristmas viewing wrapped up (sorry).

Apologies if we’ve missed anyone or anything out.  If we have, please let us know!
