Dan Clark, writer and star of How Not To Live your Life, will be performing stand-up as part of the ‘Around The Horn Comedy Night’ at the Comedy Store, Picadilly Circus on 17th January 2011.

The event is in a fundraiser for the Save the Rhino charity, which Clark and Noel Fielding famously supported back in 2008 (see photo, left). Other artists on the bill for the 2011 show include Jack Whitehall, Idiots of Ants, Tom Wrigglesworth, Paul Kerensa, Loretta Maine and The Penny Dreadfuls. Tickets are £17, and can be purchased here.
For London-based fans of Dan, we soon hope to be able to announce an addition to his UK tour schedule that may interest you!
Regular readers of TVO will be aware that the Mighty Boosh Band recently performed at the Camden Roundhouse as the support act for Zappa Plays Zappa.
Luckily for us, Sky filmed an hour-long, behind-the-scenes documentary of the event which will appear on Sky Arts HD later this month. Presented by Bob Harris, the documentary features performances from the weekend, interviews with Frank Zappa’s family and the fans. We haven’t been able to find out whether the Boosh actually feature in it, but we’re hopeful that there will be something Booshy within the doc given that they performed at the gig.
Transmission times are 12pm on 4th December and 1.30am on 21st December, to mark what would have been Frank Zappa’s 70th birthday.
Edit: You can watch a short clip of the documentary on Sky’s website here.
