Mighty Boosh DVD releases are well-known for their juicy extras, and it appears that Journey of The Childmen, released on 15th November, is no exception. The extras, revealed today, celebrate the medium of short film. They’re listed as:

Savage Canvas
This is a short film by Tim Hope which stars Julian Barratt. We wrote about it a while ago, but haven’t heard anything since, so it’s rather exciting that we’ll get the chance to see it in full in a few weeks’ time!
HIV The Musical
This short, featuring Julian Barratt and Martin Freeman, aims to expose the ridiculous attitudes to HIV, and it won the Ctrl.Alt.Shift film competition in 2009. It’s been available to view online for a while now, but it’ll be nice to have it on a holographic silver disc as well!
Dave The Lighthouse Man
A short by Oly Ralfe, this film offers a miniature portrait of Dave, a London security guard, and his love of lighthouses.
Noel & Julian’s Glasgow Film Festival intro
Fairly self-explanatory!
Wonderful World of Death – teaser trailer
Talk about this film, starring Noel Fielding, has been doing the rounds for a while, so it’s exciting that we’ll finally see some of it! Director, Nathan Wiley, was inspired by a 1930s Bessie Smith song ‘Cementry Blues’, which deals with the story of a young woman who goes to the cemetry at night to dance with the ghoust of a lover. You can read more about the movie here, and check out how Noel might have looked if he’d been cast in Edward Scissorhands.
Journey of The Childmen is now available to order in The Velvet Onion Amazon Store.

Is there anyway to get this in the US?
Can anyone confirm if Play.com delivers to the US?? If not, any idea how we can get our hands on it in the States?
If you click on ‘help’ on the website, all the delivery details can be found there, Elizabeth. I’m afraid the US isn’t listed in the delivery options though, so it’s probably best to keep an eye out on Amazon for it in the near future.
just pre ordered my copy. CAn’t wait to get it.
We just added a link to Amazon! You’re welcome
Drat! I was hoping that the NYC movie introductions would be on the extras as well…
