A Portion Of Noel

Comedy website Such Small Portions have uploaded the first part of an exclusive interview with Noel Fielding.

In the interview, recorded after his Just The Tonic set last Friday, Noel mentions plans for a Mighty Boosh tour of America, a solo tour as soon as he has a definite free space available.  He also talks quite frankly about his need for new material, and the steep learning curve of these warm-up gigs – plus that new hair style.

See the first part below, and stay tuned to Such Small Portions on YouTube to see more in the next few days.

Great interview! Did I hear him say “I’m writing another TV show”? Next Boosh series or something else?

We’d love to take credit for this one – but its all down to Such Small Portions! Rest assured though, as soon as we hear anything from the boys, we’ll be reporting it here. And we’ll do our best to get you some more exclusives in the not too distant future! Keep peeling!

Thank you SO much for posting this. Another art show – Deep Joy. I loved the last one. Might even manage to buy something this time x

Enjoyed the interview – he’s a cool bastard isn’t he? I can’t wait to see his new paintings! Plus the fact that his mind seems to be buzzing with new ideas is really exciting. He seems very motivated by his career atm (I wish I felt the same about mine!) and the fact that he is moving away from his old material and experimenting with new stuff is hugely encouraging. His mind (to me) is like a huge factory with lots of archived material that needs to be exposed, so he can sort the wheat from the chaff. Although some of his material seems to follow a format when he sets himself free it becomes liquid and flows which is quite exciting. I find it quite odd (and fantastic) that he’s become so prolific (regarding his output) just recently. I think a lot of other distractions in recent times have distracted him and he seems really focused and dynamic at the moment. Long may it continue!
